You can ask your concierge desk to put you on the phone with your sitter, so you can ask any questions about their experience and to make sure they are well versed in the English language. Your babysitter should be over 21 years old especially if you have a small infant!!! If your child has any allergies or special medical needs, make sure you get an experienced sitter and inform her in detail about your child's special needs. Hotel babysitters take care of children from as young as 4 months, up to about 12 years old. Most hotels will allow up to 4 children per sitter, make sure your sitter is comfortable being responsible for 4 children and can handle a bit of stress!* Click here to find out about my own experience and read my personal resume.
*If during your stay you have had a sitter that did not meet your needs very well, always make sure you get back to your concierge to let them know this, so they can take messure and remove a person from their babysitter list. It also helps to tell your concierge if you were happy with your sitter. Giving feedback is the only way your concierge will get to know the sitters and it will improve their recommendations to their guests.
